#4 Falling in love... with RED

The color red represents power, determination, passion, desire, and love. We have already seen that color made its way up in the "beauty trend" category (especially red lipstick & nail polish)... now we're seeing more and more of red hitting the runway.. hot and fierce to the extreme.

It will be moving into Spring season as well..

Going red, is a bold move and a big step away from all the nude, natural, pastel-like colors we've been used to seeing for awhile. Although red is not fully accepted just yet.. it's a color that takes time to adjust to. From what we see now, it seems very possible that by next fall, red will be more widely accepted, a color that might just be the key to Fall 2011.

Whats your take on red?

#3 I see socks.. Over-the-Knee Socks

Socks, we all have them and we all love it. It's a necessity.. now becoming more of a fashion accessory. While walking down Fashion Avenue, I been noticing that over-the-knee socks has been making quite a fashion statement. I have seen it a lot in Japanese fashion, and now the city of New York has fallen in love with knee high socks.
Knee High Socks: LuLus
This fall, you can find a pair of over-the-knee socks at almost any store. Style range from many different combination of fabrics (lace, knits, fishnets, prints, sheer, etc) and colors. Perfect for weather like now.. not too hot or too cold.

It can be wore in many ways, creating many different looks..  wear it with shorts, dresses, skirts.. dress up or dress down with it. Either way, your outfit is complete.

Whether you match it with a pair of oxfords, boots, pumps, heels, flats, or sneakers.. you'll be running fashionably on time and in style. Toy around with all the possibilities ;)

A surprising advantage you'll notice from wearing knee high socks is that it has a slimming effect, giving you long and lean legs. Now that's a plus.

Knee-high socks have also been seen on Alexa Chung and many other celebrities.

rain rain where are YOU???

Rain? Not really. Sunshine? Excessive. The weather man was certainly right when he announced that this summer has been the hottest, recorded in NYC's history. Although it will officially be Fall on September 23rd. Say goodbye to summer soon!

I finally got my rain boots.. ready for whatever Fall has to bring this season. It usually rains when I'm unprepared, even when the news said it be "sunny" .. but ever since I got my boots, not even a drop of rain. Now is that some sort of luck? :p

Anyhow, enjoy the nice weather before it's too late! (:

#2 Predicting Fall 2011

What do you think will be the "hot" item for Fall 2011? Trench coats have always been a classic, although I been noticing it more this fall, with a wide ranges of styles and colors that adds a twist to the typical trench coat look. It could be just as simple as the buttons that spice up the look.
According to Paul Pelssers in terms of color, we'll probably still be seeing naturals for fall '11, but within a more stylized color palette. Colors this fall ranges from tan, nude, brown, maroon, purple, including military green that's definitely in trend alert for this fall.

The twisted knot is just one of many examples of how designers are playing around with the classy trench coat, to bring out an inspiring, sharp, chic trench coat look.

Silhouettes may seem simple although it's well balanced, creating a sophisticated and feminine look. A trench coat can pretty much express all you want to say. Although we won't know for sure what's hitting the stores next fall, what we do know is that it's up to you to set a fashion trend ;)

What's your prediction? (:

Remembering...

School has finally started, although it feels like school has never really ended. Now it’s back to the same routine, blending right in with the New Yorkers. Reuniting with my college friends after a whole summer apart created no awkwardness between us. It's as if we just saw each other yesterday. I believe it's those moments and bonds, that friendships develop upon... is what keeps us close (:

#1 What's in for Fall 2010?

A back to school fashion trend that never seems to go out of style is taking a couple steps back to a vintage age. Vintage briefcase bags and backpacks in various shapes seem to be setting a trend here in the city. Whether you're going to work, school, or out with friends... this item will fit your situation by adding on a classy and modern look.

This season's main colors consist of a combination of a modern look, plus a glimpse of vintage. Young but sophisticated. Neutral colors are still seen a lot, although brown, red, & black are the most popular colors for the vintage briefcase/bag look this season.
